Thank you for interest in SSF!  The Soderstrom Scholars Fund (SSF), named for Connecticut STEM innovation pioneer, Jon Soderstrom, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports underrepresented students pursuing STEM degrees at Connecticut colleges. 
 
Applicant Qualifications: ​

• Hold a minimum 3.2 GPA

• Be a rising junior or have at least two years of undergraduate study remaining

• Be enrolled at a Connecticut college or university

• Be pursuing a degree in any STEM field

• Be eager to join a supportive scholar community, not just receive a scholarship

 

Applicants selected will join the Fund’s third cohort and receive:​

• Scholarship: $1,000 per semester for up to four semesters

• Mentorship: A mentor matched to your goals, field, and personality

• Training: Career-focused workshops and skill-building sessions

• Internship: Assistance securing a paid internship during your tenure as a Scholar
